This slideshow uses folder and filter rules. Removing individual images or videos will turn its current matching items into a fixed list, with your selections removed. Future matching images & videos will not join automatically.

Default sorting order

Saved to your account. These folders and sorting order apply when you sign in or refresh. Folder selections include subfolders. Your last Tree, Folder list, or Browse view is remembered automatically across browsers and devices.

Imports

Default folder for individual files Folder path

Used by Files… and saved to your account across browsers and devices. Defaults to Imports. Folder… has its own parent folder choice, initially Library root. Use / for subfolders in the file destination. Changing this does not move existing files.

Storage

Keep original files

Enabled by default and saved to your account. Applies to newly imported images and videos.

When disabled, processing a newly imported image or video removes its original only after a separate viewing or playback copy is verified and saved. Items using their original directly keep it. Failed processing keeps the original.

Existing saved originals stay unchanged, including during updates and retries. Use Remove originals… for explicit cleanup. Without an original, an item cannot be reprocessed or updated with newer playback settings. Turning this back on cannot recover removed originals.

Review existing image and video originals to permanently remove. Only items with a separate verified viewing or playback copy qualify. This does not change Keep original files.

Empty folders

Empty folders are cleaned automatically after 24 hours. Cleanup pauses while Move or Import is being prepared or running. Newly created folders receive a 24-hour grace period.

Remove empty folders now to skip the grace period after reviewing the list. Files, archived videos, and pending uploads are preserved.

Image viewing copies

Images keep their full resolution. JPEG XR becomes high-quality SDR JPEG. Suitable large photographic PNGs become JPEG only when they save meaningful space. Transparent/animated images and graphics are preserved. JPEG pixels are kept unchanged when recognized portrait/depth extras are removed.

Processing runs in the background. New imports use Keep original files when processing starts; existing images and later updates keep their originals. Only retained originals can be reprocessed. Unrecognized camera structures, HDR gain maps, and motion photos are preserved.

Video playback

Update your account’s videos using the latest playback settings. Only videos processed with older settings are queued; videos already up to date are skipped.

Updates preserve retained originals and require an available original. Updated playback is used in every slideshow automatically. Videos waiting for processing are temporarily skipped by slideshows.

If processing fails with the current settings, use Video details → Retry processing to try again.

Remove originals

Removal is permanent and cannot be undone through Trash. These items will keep their viewing or playback copies and slideshow memberships, but cannot be reprocessed without their originals. Each viewing or playback copy is checked again in the background before its original is removed. Items using their original directly are kept.
